Dr. Manuel Limbert
Background
Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon in 1990. He trained as a specialist in General Surgery at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Lisbon between 1993 and 1999, and was certified by the Portuguese Medical Association in 1999.
Fellowship in Oncological Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering, New York (2001); fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at Hôpital Saint-Antoine, Paris (2001–2002); fellowship in Oncological Surgery at Institut Gustave-Roussy, Paris (2002).
Senior consultant in General Surgery at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Lisbon, where he coordinates the Colorectal Surgery Unit. Head of General Surgery at Hospital CUF Cascais.
Member of the Portuguese Society of Oncology and the Portuguese Society of General Surgery, and board member of the Portuguese Society of Coloproctology. Invited lecturer in General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon since 2008.
